Rangers 23/24 Kits

Rangers 2023/24 Home Kit

Rangers had a predominantly blue Castore home shirt for 2023/24. The white logos on the front contrasted well with the base, which added some activity to the otherwise plain shirt via the tonal vertical pinstripe pattern. Another colour detailing on the kit were the parallel stripes in white and red on the neckline collar. The white one was on top of the red stripe and was relatively thinner as well.

2021/22 Rangers Home Shirt

Rangers Home 2021/22 KitRangers FC celebrated its 150th anniversary with the Castore home 2021/22 shirt. The jersey was predominantly blue with a v-collar and sleeve cuffs in white. The logos, including the commemorative scroll crest, produced gold accents in conjunction with the body’s subtle pinstripes. The collar style took inspiration from the popular 50s and 60s kits worn by the likes of Jim Baxter, while the home shirts from the 80s worn by Davie Cooper got recognition from the stripes.

2020/21 Rangers Home Shirt

Rangers Home 2020/21 KitThe Rangers FC home kit for the 2020/21 season was among those recently released kits that featured a blue base. The front side of the shirt was then populated by the white stakeholder logos plus the very subtle jacquard prints. As such, the front design was said to be inspired by the ‘blue sea of Ibrox.’ The shirt also displayed white sleeve cuffs with thin red trims on the upper edges. The white v-neck collar was also white and had two red stripes running across. Aside from the ‘blue sea of Ibrox’-inspired front panel, another design derived from the club’s history was the emblazonment of the phrase ‘The Spirit of Bill Struth will carry on’ on the inside neck panel, serving as a tribute both to the fan song and the centennial anniversary of the longest-serving manager ever of Rangers FC. “Better Never Stops” was also infused on the hem of every garment to keep the players motivated. At the top of the back panel was a central vertical white band with a red stripe in the middle.

Rangers Away Kits

Rangers Away 2022/23 KitCastore designed the 2022/23 Rangers away with a diagonal half-and-half design in white and red. While the late ’80s’ secondary kits employed a similar look, the angle on this shirt started lower, right beside the sleeves instead of coming from the shoulder. A minimal striping of red and blue covered the edges of the sleeve cuffs and round collar.

Rangers Football Club was founded in 1873, though its roots originate in 1872 when the players called themselves Argyle. Moses McNeil one of the team’s founders, suggested the new name of Rangers after seeing the name in a book about English Rugby.

Their highest goal scorer is Ally McCoist with 355 goals between 1983-1998. Highest number of appearance goes to John Greig with 755 total from 1961–1978.

Rangers along with their arch rivals Celtic dominates Scottish football as the Old Firm, Rangers are said to be the world’s most successful football club in terms of domestic competitions won. After their fall from grace in 2012 due to liquidation and demotion, Rangers returned to the Premiership in 2016, finally winning the league again in 2021 with Liverpool’s living legend Steven Gerard at the managerial helm.
